Senior Scrum Master - Kanban Epic Clarity (Remote - US) at Mercy in Ohio City, OH
SUMMARY The Scrum Master supports the team and the Product Owner and helps them to communicate, solve problems and deliver a great product. It's their role to teach the team all ways of agile software practices, lead all Scrum ceremonies, remove impediments and shield them from external distractions. Scrum Master brings the Product Owner and the team together and helps them to understand each other. Scrum Masters are personal coaches for team members and innovators who constantly seek ways to improve herself/himself and the team. Looking for someone with extensive Kanban experience that can help us with Epic and Clarity. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Guide the team and organization on how to use scrum & agile practices and methodologies Oversee scrum process and coaches the team; facilitates transparency, inspection and adaptation Lead daily scrum, sprint review, and planning meetings in a way that ensures full team engagement Support Product Owner on release planning Remove impediments (e.g., cultural barriers, logistic challenges) Foster close cooperation across all team members, encourage cross-training and supporting each other Facilitate communication and collaboration inside and outside the team Shield the team from external interference and ensure the team is fully functional and productive Foster self-organization and growth within the team Generate agile mindset across teams through conversations, role-based coaching, and role playing exercises Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of punishment Coach and mentor junior scrum masters QUALIFICATIONS Required Minimum Education:
Bachelors Licensure/Certification Preferred:
Certified Scrum Practioner or Coach Minimum Years and Type of Experience Required:
6-8 years working in an agile software development environment, preferably as a Scrum Master Minimum Years and Type of Experience Preferred:
