Virtual Health Clinical Manager (Remote) at Mercy in Ohio City, OH
PRIMARY FUNCTION/GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION The Clinical Manager, Virtual Health designs and develops clinical workflows, protocols, and procedures to support new virtual health (VH) program development, in partnership with Clinical Leads (Medical Directors, Nursing Leads, etc.). ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Engages with clinical and operations teams to understand current workflows in traditional healthcare settings and identifies pain points or challenges for patients, providers, nurses, and staff Uses knowledge and understanding of current operations to design clinical workflows, protocols, and procedures for VH programs that will address existing pain points and challenges Advises on appropriate clinical resourcing approaches (shift, on-demand, centralized, distributed, outsourced) for new VH programs Collaborates with Clinical Leads to ensure VH workflows will achieve desired clinical outcomes and support BSMH quality, safety, and reliability standards Develops training guides and supports training of providers, nurses, and staff on new workflows during implementation of new VH programs and initiatives Acts as liaison and between Virtual Health team and Clinical departments (Nursing, Quality, etc.) Serves as subject matter expert (SME) on innovative care delivery models and clinical programs to support growth of BSMH's VH services portfolio This document is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements, or working conditions associated with the job. LICENSING/CERTIFICATION None EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree (required) Master's Degree in a Healthcare-related field, including Nursing (MSN) (preferred) WORK EXPERIENCE 10 years of experience in healthcare operations, including leadership or training responsibilities, and strong clinical operations background (required) Medical knowledge related to clinical populations (preferred) Research or other creative clinical work (preferred) Bon Secours Mercy Health is an equal opportunity employer.
