PRIMARY FUNCTION/GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION The Licensing Program Manager, Virtual Health is the subject matter expert for rules and regulations regarding state medical licensing boards where BSMH has a footprint. This role provides leadership and oversight, within a collaborating environment, of the application process for state medical licensing for BSMG physicians. Develops and then manages the solutions for completing the process timely with minimal interruption. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Develop, maintain, and monitor a comprehensive project plan for application requirements for each state, including active, telemedicine, and emergency licenses. Maintain and monitor application process with the Federation of Credentials Verification Services (FCVS) in states where required. Identify deliverables and resources necessary for timely licensing in all states. Update key leadership, administrative staff and other stakeholders on FCVS and state requirements. Develop, maintain and monitor reporting systems to be shared weekly/monthly with various divisions/departments. Build strong lasting relationships between BSMH, FCVS, and state medical boards. Collaborate on ways to improve the licensing process while still making it meaningful for the physicians and ensure safe care for the patients. Initiate and develop changes to policies and practices at BSMH to ensure adherence to state medical licensing and FCVS requirements. Understand and articulate CME requirements in each state and communicate those requirements to appropriate physicians. Develop and seek opportunities to collaborate with medical state licensing boards to improve the application process. Serve as project consultant in the design and implementation of application and reappointment data. Find innovative ways to improve efficiency of the licensing processes. Develop and then monitor metrics to compare timing between state medical licenses getting issued, hospitals granting privileges and enrollment with third party payors. In collaboration with stakeholders such as IT, the credentials committee and Med Exec, ensure medical staff services is effectively evaluating and partnering to develop data systems that identify, track, and analyze measures to assess effectiveness of resources and providers throughout the licensing process. EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in related discipline (required) Master's Degree in related discipline (preferred) WORK EXPERIENCE Five years of related professional experience in healthcare (required) Three years of experience collaborating with and influencing variety of stakeholders (required) Three years of project management experience (preferred) Two years of demonstrated leadership skills (preferred) Bon Secours Mercy Health is an equal opportunity employer.
