In this role, you will be responsible to manage a small team of legal professionals within the American Honda Motor (AHM) Law Manufacturing & Development Division with minimal oversight and provide high quality, proactive immigration law services and advice on a timely and cost-effective basis for complex matters for a variety of Honda companies across the region to help minimize legal risks. Legal advice and services:
Provide high quality legal immigration services and advice in a timely and cost-effective manner, and execute legal activities, to enable the applicable Honda divisions to meet legal obligations and reduce risk for complex and serious legal immigration matters Litigation / Legal Matters:
Prepare and coordinate cases for applicable Honda entity, develop legal strategy and provide the business with regular updates and advice, and manage outside counsel and expert fees, to reach the best long-term solution for Honda in complex cases Projects:
Participate in the planning and execution of assigned AHM Law projects with a regional focus People Management (Responsible to manage a small team of legal professionals) Assist with performance appraisals Handle day-to-day management of legal team Provide support, coaching, and guidance to assist associates with growth and development (including regular one on one meetings) Qualifications We are looking for qualified people with diverse backgrounds and experiences, open minds, and a disciplined work ethic. To bring the future to Honda as a Senior Counsel - Immigration, you must have:
Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited law school Admittance to the Ohio Bar 10 years of experience as an attorney handling non-immigrant (H-1B, L-1, TN, E-2) and immigrant (employment-based permanent residence) cases as an immigration attorney practicing with a law firm, corporate legal department, or government agency Excellent written and oral communication skills, problem solving, customer satisfaction, building relationship, coaching, decision-making, risk analysis, flexibility/adaptability, patience, listening, risk taking, focusing on achieving results and supporting others achieve results, legal technical knowledge, Honda business knowledge
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Legal & RegulatoryEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
