Software Engineer
This position, under the general direction of the Manager and/or Director, Software Engineering, will be playing a lead role a in development and maintenance of our award winning K-12 software. This role will implement, code, build, and test new features, maintain existing features, and develop reports that will include components, data models, customization and reporting features for our products. Additionally, this position will gather and refine requirements, develop designs, implement, test and document solutions to produce the highest quality product and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Essential duties and responsibilities Collaborate with the team to implement new software features and products from inceptiopn to delivery Analyze performance and develop improvements in web applications Perform upgrades to 3rd party libraries and tools used by the web application Adopt best practices such as authoring unit tests, writing maintainable code and applying established patterns and algorithms Specialize in client-side or server-side web application development as a member of a project team Work with a wide range of new and legacy code and technologies in a mature code base Qualifications Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or professional experience developing highly scalable, reliable and secure web applications Experience building responsive UI applications using a modern library or framework like Angular, React or Vue Proficiency in developing backend services using NodeJS and TypeScript Experience with a common data interchange such as REST or GraphQL Any hands-on experience using a public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc), ideally with an infrastructure as code solution like CloudFormation or AWS CDK Experience working with data caching and persistence in SQL and/or nosql databases Experience collaborating with QA, Design and Product Management in an agile environment Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Enjoy being part of a highly collaborative, remote-friendly environment.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
