Finance Manager

At McGraw Hill, the Finance Manager will provide diligent analysis to lead to sound financial business decisions, manage project budgets, monitor plant expense, and serve as the overall financial advisor for the group by making recommendations to executive leadership. How can you make an impact? As the Finance Manager, you'll serve as an integral part of the financial well-being of our School Education Team, by focusing on supporting multiple projects and products simultaneously. In this role, you'll partner with the cross-functional teams including product management, academic design, marketing and project management office (PMO). Candidates must live in EST. What can you expect from this position? You will provide financial analyses to support all key decisions/initiatives relating to the Product & Marketing group's portfolio management, product investments, market development, pricing actions and ad hoc requests for monthly business review processes. Provide insightful variance analysis between forecasts, budget, and actual financial results inclusive of expense analysis and detail-level reporting. Specific areas of ownership will be to review and approve partnership agreements, royalties, sample budgets and 1st print runs on upcoming releases. Pro-active analysis that assists the business in identifying gap strategies and opportunities as well as ad hoc requests from the Product & Marketing organizations. Additional responsibilities will include cross-training with members of the team and providing Accounting and FP&A support with specific data regarding strategy and forecast. We're looking for someone with:
Bachelor's degree required, preference for Finance or Accounting degree. 6
years of financial analysis experience required. Highly proficient in budgeting, forecasting, value-add commentary and analysis with strong prioritization skills. Strong interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively across multiple functions and with varied levels of management. Excellent Microsoft Office skills; TM1, Tableau, Salesforce, Smartsheet and database querying experience strongly preferred. $100K -- $150K

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
