Role Description:
IIBA-certified Business Analyst oExperience creating workflows using formal notation such as the Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN).
oKnowledge of formal requirements gathering methodologies.
oExperience developing Business Requirements - project initiation document, what the needed achievements will be, and the quality measures.
oExperience developing Functional requirements - describe what the system, process, or product/service must do to fulfill the business requirements.
oExperience developing User (stakeholder) requirements - are a very important part of the deliverables, the needs of the stakeholders will have to be correctly interpreted.
This deliverable can also reflect how the product will be designed, developed, and define how test cases must be formulated.
oExperience developing Quality-of-service (non-functional) requirements - are requirements that do not perform a specific function for the business requirement but are needed to support the functionality.
For example:
performance, scalability, quality of service (QoS), security and usability.
oExperience developing Report Specifications - define the purpose of a report, its justification, attributes and columns, owners, and runtime parameters.
oExperience developing Requirements Traceability Matrix - a cross matrix for recording the requirements through each stage of the requirements gathering process.
oStrong organization and writing skills.
Experienced developing graphic representations of complex business processes.
oPerforms iterative analytic coding of ad-hoc requests supporting various projects and works with various teams to continuously assess results and refine the analytic oAnalyzes trends and patterns in data and synthesizes and communicates meaningful insights to project teams and business stakeholders.
oProvides guidance on the interpretation of reported exceptions and subject matter expertise in the data lifecycle of a process to aid business managers in determining new insights and potential improvements.
oDevelops in-depth subject-matter-expertise in understanding key strategic data sources and data linkages within the organization and effectively leverages knowledge to derive meaningful data analytics results.
oWorks with members of the Infrastructure and ETL teams to onboard new data sources for periodic refresh and reuse in data analysis or continuous CityStat initiatives.
