01/26/2024 Position Overview Responsible for planning, maintaining, troubleshooting, upgrading, and coordinating the computer systems within the Montgomery County Clerk of Courts organization.
This position reports to the Director of Information Services.
Summary of Job Duties Respond to inquiries regarding computer software and hardware operation to resolve user problems.
Configure and deploy computer hardware, mobile devices, and software for employee use by performing and ensuring the proper installation of cables, peripheral devices, operating systems, and appropriate software.
Advise users about and perform maintenance of hardware and software systems, train users in the proper use of computer software solutions and hardware.
Complete minor repairs to computer hardware and peripheral equipment using accepted design or installation specifications; refer major hardware problems or product defects to vendors for service or technical support.
Manage computer hardware and peripheral equipment inventory records.
Ensure compliance with laws, policies, and organizational values.
Communicate and collaborate with diverse individuals from technical and non-technical backgrounds.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements Knowledge of computer hardware, peripherals, and software, including off-the-shelf software solutions and operating systems Ability to install, configure and support modern Windows-based workstations and servers, related peripheral devices, printers, and copiers Knowledge of networking terminology, hardware, and technologies Knowledge of mobile computing and devices Knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.
) Knowledge of Active Directory Domain Services Ability to create and manage objects within the Active Directory infrastructure, including Group Policy Objects Knowledge of principles and processes of providing customer service Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external users as well as third-party vendors.
Ability to make and implement decisions based on data analysis Ability to maintain effectiveness when shifting back and forth between two or more activities or sources of information Ability to develop creative solutions to problems All Montgomery County employees become members of the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System and have access to deferred compensation programs.

Full-Time Employees (40 hours per week):

Part-Time Employees (Benefits Eligible) (scheduled 21

Part-time Employees (Non-Benefits Eligible) (20 hours or less per week):
Benefits include Long Term Sick Leave Accrual, Paid Personal Leave, and holiday pay for hours scheduled to work on holidays.
Seasonal Employees:
Benefits include Sick Leave accrued at 4.
6 hours for every eighty 80 hours in active pay status.
Seasonal employees scheduled to work 40 hours during their period of employment will accrue vacation in the same manner as regular full-time employees and can use their vacation after completion of twenty-six (26) bi-weekly pay periods in active pay status.
Part-time Seasonal employees (scheduled to work less than 40 hours) do not accrue vacation.
Intermittent and Temporary Employees:
Long-Term Sick Leave accrual is based on hours worked.
